Pranav Nyati

Hi there, I’m Pranav Nyati. I am a final-year dual degree (B. Tech + M.Tech) student at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, majoring in Computer Science. I am interested in learning about ML Theory, Statistics, Combinatorial Optimization and Quant. I am currently pursuing my master’s thesis in Theoretical CS on the topic of “Coordinated Motion Planning on Graphs” under Prof. Sudeshna Kolay. I have also explored the field of Machine Learning through few research projects and internships. I am always up for learning new things and exploring new opportunities!

Previously, I was a visiting research intern at the ML Group at Saarland Univeristy, Germany during summer 2024, where I worked on Explainable AI for graphical data, with Prof. Isabel Valera. For my bachelor’s thesis, I explored various facets of Explainability in Graph Neural Networks under the supervision of Prof. Sourav Medya from University of Illinois, Chicago.

In my free time, I like to listen to music, especially Indian Classical music and retro Hindi songs. I also occassionally try to learn new songs on my harmonium. I am trying to develop a habit of reading books.
